A Pharmacist with over twenty-five years’ experience in the marketing of pharmaceutical products in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He joined Glaxo Nigeria PLC in 1977 as a medical representative. He has been Area Manager, Field Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Marketing Manager, Export Manager, General Manager, Executive Director within the Glaxo group over the past 20 years. After retiring as the Managing Director/CEO (Pharma) Glaxo SmithKline Nigeria, Chief Olaopa was contracted to nurture and develop Cipla Evans Nigeria Limited, a joint – venture between CIPLA of India. Chief Olaopa is a fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN). He is also a fellow of the West African Post-Graduate College of Pharmacy and Nigerian Academy of Pharmacy. Chief Olaopa is a director of several companies. He is a Past Chairman, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Group, Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria (PMG-MAN). He is the immediate Past Chairman, West African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (WAPMAN). Chief Olaopa is also the Chairman. Alimosho Chemists Limited and FAB Medicals Limited.
