Gbolagade Adebisi (Gbola) can easily be described as a natural entrepreneur. His first stint as an entrepreneur started in his undergraduate days at the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he joined two of his friends to start an unregistered business –New Tide Promotions (NTP). The company would rent films from the then American Motions Company at Apapa in Lagos to show fellow students. In 1977, he formed Hess – Kay Enterprises, a trading outfit.
He joined Upjohn Nigeria Pty Limited (now part of Pfizer, Inc.) in 1977. In 1982, he decided to leave paid employment to face new challenges, by forming Alimosho Chemists Limited, the first Community Pharmacy in the whole of Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State. Presently, Gbola is a facilitator in Sales, Marketing and Government Business at Tom Associates Training, a leading Human Capital Development institution in Nigeria.
As a way of giving back to the Community, Gbola is deeply involved with the International Association of Lions Clubs, where has been Club President, Zone and Region Chairperson. His career in Lioninsm saw him becoming District Governor, District 404B1 in 2013 – 2014 and he reached the peak of his Career as a Lion in 2017 – 2018 when he became the Multiple Council Chairperson for Multiple District 404 Nigeria and the official head of the Association in Nigeria.
